The Chinese Opera is a well-known aspect of Chinese folklore and has become important in portraying traditional Chinese culture. There are 360 different styles of Chinese Opera but all are known for their dramatics, story-telling and unique singing style. It has evolved from simple folk songs, dances, and acting, to gradually being combined with music, art, and literature - creating a unique and colorful performance. This research will look into a few of the different styles and show how they are different or similar to each other and what makes each one unique.
